The Divine Nature of God is not something we have, this nature can only be partaken of. So many have made a grave mistake by thinking that the Divine Nature of God was included in the making of man’s nature.
Man was made in the image and likeness of God, the Word of God refers to this image and likeness in man as an idol.
In Genesis 1:26 where it says God made man in his image the word “image” (tselem in Hebrew) means idol. It is clear that this man was not complete yet, simply put, God made man with the need to partake of his nature in order to fulfill God’s plan for man.
(2 Peter 1:3) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
(2 Peter 1:4) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The natural man Adam, was not spiritual, it is Christ, the Last Adam who is spiritual.
